Waits For Sleep (Inspired by Dream Theater)

It's a bright and star filled night. She stands by the window, with her eyes upon the moon. She reflects on the same memory, that has been bothering her for a long time. The same painful memory that's been haunting her for a long time. Every night, she hopes that the memory will soon leave her spirit, yet she always looks at the pictures, that remind her of what she wishes to forget.

The door is shut, as she lays in her bed. Trying to sleep, but images and words keep her up. She has to much pride to pull the sheets above her head, so she quitely lays and waits for sleep. She doesn't cry, but she is sad.

She stares at the celling, desprate to not think about anything. But she can't forget what she wants to forget. It haunts her, like a wolf haunts it's victim. Nothing can make her feel better, when she thinks about it. Water can't cover her memory, and ashes can't answer her pain. It just won't let go of her. Maybe she should have done things diffirently?

But that's life. It doesn't give a second chance. Sometimes you got to be wrong, and learn the hard way. And sometimes you got to be strong, even when it might be too late. It might take a long time, and alot of sad and sleepless nights, but eventually she'll get there. But for today, she tries to sleep, even with the memory haunting her.
